In Jacks or Better video poker game, the only similarity it has with a table poker game is the ranking of the hands. Because the game is played on a video poker machine, the player's only purpose is to get the video poker hand that is best paying. Mastering the Jacks or Better video poker game will enable you to learn other variations of video poker games very easily.

The video poker machine will deal a hand composed of five cards. You have the options to keep the cards or throw away the cards just by pushing the corresponding buttons at the video poker machine below each card. Straight Flush - Five successive cards of the same card suit like Eight, Nine, Ten, Jack, and Queen. The payout is 50 for every coin bet.

Four of a Kind - A video poker hand that consists of four cards having the same card value like four Nines. The payout is 25 for every coin bet.

Full House - It has three cards of similar values and two cards of another value such as three Fives and two Kings. The payout is nine or eight for every coin bet.

Flush - A video poker hand that is composed of any five cards of the same card suit that come in no specific order. The payout is five or six for every coin bet.

Straight - Any five successive cards that is not from the same card suit like Jack, Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven. The payout is four for every coin bet.

Three of a Kind - They are three cards of similar value like three Sevens. The payout is three for every coin bet.

Two Pair - It consists of two pairs like two Tens and two Aces. The payout is two for every coin bet.

Pair of Jacks or Better - This is a pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings, or Aces. This is the lowest paying hand in this video poker game.
